SUCCESSFUL FIRST EDITION OF THE FESTIVAL
With the special closing screening of the American film Ted, a funny story of close friendship between a man and his childhood teddy bear, the first edition of ANIMATED BAFICI – [Cinema/Winter Collection] has come to an end. For 4 days, the Festival offered a program of quality and risk-taking films, including highly-praised national and international features and shorts of all times. In addition to the screenings, the Festival had the honor to present a world preview of the Argentine animated film Metegol, the new project by Oscar-winner Juan José Campanella. The great turnout and favorable media coverage are a sign of success and good omen for this new festival that strengthens the conceptual trail of BAFICI and contributes to Buenos Aires’ vast year-round cultural offer.
The real-action, digitally-animated American comedy Ted, directed by Seth MacFarlane, closes the Festival in a special screening tonight at 10.40 PM at Sala 3 of Cine Monumental Lavalle (Lavalle 780). This funny film, recently premiered in the country, narrates the twists and turns of the life of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), who lives with his cute teddy bear that has come to life after a childhood wish and has stayed with him ever since.
